CONSTITUTION OF
THE BANGLADESH SOCIETY OF ULTRASONOGRAPHY
PREAMBLE
Whereas the Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonography has been introduced in the field of Medical Diagnosis since Late Sixty’s and in Bangladesh, Ultrasonography was first introduced in 1980.
Whereas Ultrasonography had undergone dramatic improvement since its introduction in Bangladesh and increasing number of Doctors got themselves involved in this field.
Whereas the Doctors working in this field, deemed it necessary to form a Society of their own in the year 1988 under the name of “The Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography”.
Whereas the Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography, drafted and adopted a Constitution in the First Annual General Meeting of the Society held on 31 March 1989 in Dhaka.
Whereas the Society deemed it necessary to further amend the Constitution and the Executive Body of the Society after due deliberation has drafted certain necessary amendments and accepted by the General Body at Fifth Annual General Meeting held on 9 July 1993, Seventh Annual General Meeting held on 23 June 1995, Twelfth Annual General Meeting held on 4 February 2000, Twenty Third Annual General Meeting held on 18 March 2011 and Thirty Third Annual General Meeting on 8 October 2021.
Now, therefore, the Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography at the Thirty Third Annual General Meeting held on 8 October 2021 in Dhaka approves, enacts and gives ourselves this amended Constitution with immediate effect.
