Greetings from the desk of Secretary general of BSU. Once again, we are going to start a new term for the session 2021 – 2023. A lot of changes have occurred in our beloved world in last two years due to covid pandemic. Thanks to Almighty we survived the pandemic and looking forward for a new day!

As you know the activities of Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography were limited to online platform only during pandemic. We could not sit for a face to face meeting for the last two years. Our main fight was how to survive the crisis. I am happy that we are successful but, in this fight, we have lost dozens of our members of BSU. I pray for the salvation of their souls and wish May Allah grant them all Jannatul Ferdous!

In the new term 2021-2023 we are planning for some big activities where we can see each other after a long time. Among them the most important is organizing our 34th National Conference sometime in October 2022 in Dhaka. The Society will also organize some CPD programs where our members can regain the academic losses during pandemic. BSU will also give emphasis to strengthen the old relationship with our fellow societies at home and abroad including AFSUMB and WFUMB.

The quality concerns of the centres for ultrasound training providers in Bangladesh is a long due issue! BSU is actively thinking how to bring the issue under some regulations for betterment of both our doctors as well as patients. BSU is also working for expansion and development of ultrasound diagnostic services so that even people of remote corners of the country get this service easily. To ensure these support of the government, NGOs, other medical societies, ultrasound marketing companies and all other concerned is needed.

I wish you all and expect your cooperation for taking BSU ahead!
