CONSTITUTION
Criteria of becoming Member of the Society
ARTICLES OF THE CONSTITUTION
Article V: Membership shall be granted to any persons with the qualifications established in Article VI and who can satisfy the Executive Body that they have a bonafide interest in the use of medical ultrasonic apparatus; or in research of a clinical, scientific or technical nature which is directed towards the furtherance of the objects of the Society.
ARTICLE VI: Membership
A. General Member: A candidate for membership must fulfill the following criteria: (1) Medical Graduate like MBBS or equivalent Registered or Registrable to Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council: (2) Individual, independent and full time practice in Clinical Medical Ultrasonograhpy for period of at least two years or full time teacher in Medical Ultrasonography for a period of at least two years. Annual membership fee will be decided by the Executive Body. General members have all the obligations and privileges including the right to vote.
B. Associate Member: Shall be medical or non-medical personnel related to diagnostic medical ultrasound or members of commercial organisations. Associated Membership fee will be decided by the Executive Body. Associated members shall have the obligations and privileges of General Members except the right to vote
C. Life Member: Any General Member completing two years as General Member may be enrolled as Life Member by the Executive Body. Life Membership fee will be decided by the Executive Body. Life Member is like that of General Member.
BYELAWS OF THE CONSTITUTION
Section 14 Membership:
A. General Member: After satisfying the Article V and Article VI a candidate may apply for membership in a prescribed form supplied by the society. A Member of the Society will propose while another Member will second the application. A standing committee named “Membership Committee” will invite, scrutinize, recommend and send the application to the Executive Body.
B. Life Member: A General Member after completing two years as General Member may apply for Life Membership in a prescribed form supplied by the Society. The Executive Body may confirm Life Membership.
